1. SUMMARY
Almost 80 teenagers participating in a political conference were killed by a Norwegian who disguised as a police officer in an island. He also made an explosion in nearby Oslo and investigators realized the fact that these events occurred by the same person after several hours.
Norway is known for peace so government buildings aren’t heavily fortified. The attacks seemed to disagree with a cultural shift.
At first, police thought about 10 were killed at camp on the island of Utoya but actually there were many more victims who were young. Some were killed and others were severely injured.
A suspect who made these tragedies was arrested on the island. Broadcaster NRK informed identity of the suspect. He is Anders Behring Brivik, a 32 year-man. The suspect pretended to act alone in both attacks and police also considered that he wasn’t related to any international terrorist organizations. He was proved to be a right-wing extremist with anti-Muslim views. These attacks seemed to be linked to the Labor Party government because the youth camp was for the party’s youth wing and Prime Minister had been scheduled to have speech there.
Oslo was in shambles because of the blast. Especially the office of the prime minister was damaged. The attacks would give a deep impact to many residents. Norway had been considered as open and safe country. That is because they thought the security measures were unnecessary in Norway. Those events change thinking of people about fortifying.
The camp shootings started about 2 hours later after the Oslo bombing. The police expected the suspect used both automatic weapons and handguns and there may be one unexploded bomb at youth camp so they were working to remove it.
By the blast Oslo, 7 people were killed and 10 people were seriously injured. On the island, there were some survivors in the sea although many people were murdered.
The prime minister visited injured people and said Norway democracy won’t destroyed by those attacks.
The U.S president consoled to Norway and promised to offer supporting. Many analysts regarded at least two Islamic extremist groups were related.

2. Personal Response
I don't understand why he did that.  He shouldn't have made these calamity eventhough he had the valid reason. It's quite absurd to kill innocent people because he was also same human being as them. He is not god and even have nothing better than victims. He have to shoulder the responsibility of these two massacres. I'm too shocked to talk about it and I pray for the repose of the victims. Finally, Norway ought to bear a saying that Danger comes when you least expect it in their mind.
